Alumni Spotlight: Da’juh Sawyer

The College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. would like to highlight our scholarship recipients who are doing amazing things in the classroom, on their campuses, and in the community!

Next up in our student spotlight... Meet Da’juh Sawyer!

Da'juh graduated from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2018.

While Da'juh was in undergrad, she served in the Student Government Association as a class senator and eventually Student Body Vice-President. These leadership positions allowed her to advocate for the ever-changing needs of the student body and represent over 9,000 students. Da’juh also served as the President of Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program.

Currently, Da’juh works for the Florida House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant. She’s also the Founder of The Make It Out Foundation, Inc. (MIOF), Inc. 501 ©(3) with her colleague Dontreal Fletcher. The Make It Out Foundation’s mission is “to serve and enhance the lives of scholarly students in the St. Petersburg community, by providing financial assistance to those who intend on pursuing a post secondary education at any Florida State college, university or vocational institute. Da’juh is an R’Club Child Care and Louise Graham Regeneration Center board member.

Da'juh says: "The College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. provided motivation and support throughout my entire collegiate experience.”

Way to go Da'juh!
